BuildFlox brings customers, projects, proposals, work orders, invoices, payments, expenses, and reports together in one place. This guide covers the essentials you need to begin.

01 · Account

Create or Sign In to Your Account

If you already have a BuildFlox account, sign in from the Sign In screen. If you’re new to BuildFlox, choose Sign Up and enter:

  • First name
  • Last name
  • Email
  • Password
  • Confirm password

Select Sign Up when you’re ready. If you already have an account, use the link on the Sign Up screen to return to Sign In. Select Forgot password? whenever you need a reset link.

02 · Verification

Verify Your Email

After creating an account, BuildFlox may ask you to verify your email address before continuing. Follow the instructions sent to your email, then return to BuildFlox and continue signing in.

Can’t find the message?

Check your spam or junk folder and confirm that you entered the correct email address.

03 · Company access

Join an Existing Company

If someone invited you to an existing BuildFlox company, choose Enter / Check Invitation from the Getting Started screen and follow the invitation process.

Getting Started Enter / Check Invitation

Your available screens and actions depend on the permissions assigned to you within that company.

04 · Company access

Request BuildFlox Access

If you are not joining an existing company, select Request Access from the Getting Started screen. Enter:

Company name Contact name Business type Approximate team size Note optional

Then select Submit Request.

An access request does not create a company.

BuildFlox reviews the request before company creation becomes available.

While your request is being reviewed, use Refresh Status to check for changes. If needed, you can also choose Submit Another Request.

05 · Setup

Create Your Company

Once you are authorized to create a company, BuildFlox takes you to company setup. Enter the Organization name and select Create Organization.

Create Organization

If the company name came from an approved access request, BuildFlox may already provide it. Additional-company creation can depend on your plan and company allowance.

06 · Companies

Select or Switch Companies

If your account can access more than one company, select the one you want to work with. Your current company determines which customers, projects, work orders, financial information, and other records are available.

Use the company switcher in BuildFlox whenever you need to move between organizations.

07 · Home

Understand the Dashboard

After signing in and entering a company, BuildFlox normally opens the Dashboard. Depending on your permissions and available data, you may see:

Today’s Work4 tasksReady for your team
Outstanding Proposals3 proposals2 awaiting signature
Overdue Payments1 invoiceAction required
  • Upcoming Jobs
  • Tasks
  • Recent Projects

Financial information such as overdue payments appears only when your account can view financial data. Some sections may not appear when there is no information to display.

Create Something Quickly

The Dashboard’s Create action can include:

+ New Customer + New Project + New Proposal Template + New Catalog Item

The exact options available depend on your permissions.

09 · Permissions

Roles and Access

The screens and actions you can use depend on your membership and permissions in the current company. Some users can view information without being able to create or modify it.

Workers start in My Work.

The Worker experience is focused on assigned jobs rather than the standard Dashboard.

Financial information is also permission-controlled. If an expected feature is missing, your company permissions may not include access to it.
